New Bible Study for Women
"Transforming the Heart"
We just began a new Bible study called "Transformation of the Heart." This study, led by Julie Archibald and Sharon MacMillan, is based on a book by Dallas Willard called Renovation of the Heart. When we finish this study we will have a deeper understanding of the work of God in caring for the sin problem that damaged the human heart, bringing so much pain to mankind. We will learn what it means to God the love with all the heart, soul, mind and strength. We will look at the work of God among us, helping us treasure each member of his body. We meet in the church fellowship hall on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. to noon. Child care is provided. Call the office (835-0732) for more information.
We just had Women's Connection and the Price was Right! The theme for the morning at the MacMillans' was "Everthing New." We wore newly purchased items with price tags left on and used our shopping skills to guess the price of each item. It's always fun for us to share our shopping conquests! II Cor 5:17 tells us we were made into "new creations" and are therefore to glorify God as we were bought with a very expensive price, the suffering and death of God's son. We voted to begin sponsoring Fredric, a bright seven year old who is benefitting from Project Hope and Charite, a ministry of the African Churches and GBIM. So, we've adopted and have a new ministry!
Next month, Feb 16th, we are taking over Primrose Lane II on 10th St downtown from 10:30a.m. to noon. Invitations are available if you want to invite a friend.
A Spring Fling retreat is being planned for April. Details are coming.
The Bible exhorts believers in Christ to “stimulate one another to love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24-25) the result being encouragement to one another in the faith. Women's Ministries at Grace Central seek to provide an environment where women:
- study God's Word together for life changing truth.
- support one another in raising their families and strengthening marriages.
- participate in opportunities that impact others both here and cross culturally.
- intercede for one another in fervant, effectual prayer.
A major part of our ministry is mentoring girls, in accordance with Titus 2:3-5.
Women's Connection
We can make a difference as we fulfill the design God has for our lives. That is why women’s ministries has an emphasis on discipleship which includes Bible study, Women’s Connections that meet monthly and opportunities for cross-cultural mission. We ask the questions, “What does a woman need to be an active participant in her church family? How can she become a Titus 2 woman, a woman who loves her husband, her children; and is known for her godly character in her community? Consider your involvement with us, committing yourself to be the woman God has planned for you to be.
